Why FoodLib?

FoodLib was not built because the world needs another app. FoodLib was built because people sometimes need the right kind of support at the right moment.

Origin

FoodLib came from a personal situation.

When our everyday life changed suddenly, we realized how much personal knowledge is missing while shopping.

As a software developer, it felt natural not only to talk about the problem, but to build something useful.

Not to publish just another app.

But to help other people in similar situations.

Principles

FoodLib should help without hidden interests getting in the way.

FoodLib stays free.

FoodLib is independent.

FoodLib shows no advertising.

FoodLib does not sell personal data.

FoodLib does not prefer brands or manufacturers.

Our Values

FoodLib is built by our family.

Our family coat of arms has accompanied us for many years and reminds us every day of the values we try to live by.

It represents fairness, kindness, sustainability and the desire to share knowledge.

These are the same values that shape FoodLib.

Not as a marketing idea.

But as a way of thinking.

We created it to help people make better everyday decisions for themselves and for the people they care about.

Our family coat of arms represents our heritage and our values.

The FoodLib logo remains the official logo of the app.

Everyone knows someone they want to shop for with extra care.

That is exactly where FoodLib helps.
