Why FoodLib?
Origin
FoodLib came from a personal situation.
When our everyday life changed suddenly, we realized how much personal knowledge is missing while shopping.
As a software developer, it felt natural not only to talk about the problem, but to build something useful.
Not to publish just another app.
But to help other people in similar situations.
Principles
FoodLib should help without hidden interests getting in the way.
FoodLib stays free.
FoodLib is independent.
FoodLib shows no advertising.
FoodLib does not sell personal data.
FoodLib does not prefer brands or manufacturers.
A symbol for our values
The family crest may find a place here later.
Placeholder family crest
Behind FoodLib is a family. Our family crest stands for values that also matter to us in FoodLib: fairness, responsibility, sustainability and the wish to pass knowledge on.
The crest is not the FoodLib logo. The FoodLib logo remains the wordmark.
Everyone knows someone they want to shop for with extra care.
That is exactly where FoodLib helps.
Download and share
Share FoodLib when it can help someone.
The App Store link will be added here when it is final. Until then, this website is the place to understand and share FoodLib.
